Train to KielceAccording to the legend the origins are connected to Bolesław Szczodry’s son — Mieszko. During the hunting the prince lost his way and it was st. Wojciech who manifested himself and showed the prince the place where a source was. Near the source there were tusks of some mysterious unknown animal and hence the name of the city was named after them. In the clearing near to the source the prince ordered to erect the st. Wojciech church. The świętokrzyskie voivodeship capital was granted the city rights in the XIII century. Since then on the city was within the Krakow bishops reign, and its significance was gradually increasing. By train to Kielce

The Kielce railways station is located in the city centre. The Sienkiewicza street the main city promenada leads to it. The most popular connections are the national connections to Warsaw, Krakow , Czestochowa and Lodz. The station also services long-distance connections to Olsztyn, especially popular in the summer months.
